Ravichandran Ashwin blessed with a daughter

India off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and his wife Prithi were blessed with baby girl earlier today. People have taken to social media to wish Ashwin and his wife on their new addition to the family. Ashwin, has been rested for the tour of Zimbabwe as India have gone into the series with a weakened team, with Ajinkya Rahane leadong the team for the very first time. Ashwin was part of the Bangladesh series preceding this and will come back afresh for the upcoming South Africa series in October-Novermber 2015. Ashwin was also part of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, where India were knocked out by Australia at the semi-final stage. India skipper MS Dhoni missed out on being present for his daughter Ziva’s berth as he was touring Australia. Ashwin, however has been fortunate not to have missed out for his child’s berth. Ashwon has represented India in 25 Tests and 99 One-Day Internationals (ODI).
