Play finally resumed on Day Five with the morning session completely washed out. Bangladesh resumed the day at 111 for three, but will be disappointed losing four wickets in the duration of play so far. Shakib-Al-Hasan was the first to go after he was caught behind off the bowling of Ashwin. After playing a fine innings, Imrul Kayes was dismissed for a 72 after he was stumped by Saha. Kayes became Harbhajan’s 415th victim in Tests, surpassing Wasim Akram and in the process became the ninth leading wicket-taker in Tests. Shuvagata Hom too did not last long as he was the last man dismissed just ahead of the break. Litton Das has played a sparkling innings on his way to an unbeaten 34-ball 38, including seven fours and one six. The match is heading towards a draw, but India will be more than happy to bowl Bangladesh out in the final session of play.
This after Virat Kohli had won the toss on Day One and elected to bat first. Shikhar Dhawan made 173 and Murali Vijay made 150 and they put on 283 for the first wicket. Ajinkya Rahane came lower down the order and made a handy 98, which propelled India to 462 for six.
