India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took to twitter to defend his bowling action. Ashwin’s bowling has come under severe criticism across social media, where many have said that his action looks illegal, yet the ICC is not taking any actions against him. ICC recently suspended Bangladesh bowlers Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny for illegal bowling action ans have therefore been banned from bowling in international cricket. Both Taskin and Sunny had a test in Chennai, but have not been cleared yet. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will follow the rules and appeal to the ICC according to the rules and regulations prescribed in the book. Ashwin in his banter with a cricket fan on Twitter said that he dos not care how ugly his action looks as it is legal. The fan had pointed out that Ashwin’s action is the worst, yet Taskin has been banned. The off-spinner known for his quick wit, gave him an apt reply. Ashwin is currently playing in the ICC World T20 2016 for India. READ: Taskin Ahmed: Why his bowling action is illegal and ICC is right in banning him

India lost their opening match against New Zealand, but bounced back to win the match against arch-rivals Pakistan. They will look to win their remaining games against Bangladesh and Australia. Ashwin will play a key role if India are to reach the semi-final stage. Ashwin had earlier said that India will be unbeatable in favourable conditions. “I think, we are a very good team. On our day and under conditions favourable for us, we are going to be a pretty hard side to beat,” Ashwin told bcci.tv.
