India’s veteran left-handed allrounder Ravindra Jadeja is one of the players who was backed by MS Dhoni during his early career days. Once Jadeja secured his place as an allrounder in the national side, there was no chance
In a conversation with Ravichandran Ashwin on his YouTube channel called ‘Ashwin‘, the star allrounder was questioned to describe his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in one word, to which Ravindra Jadeja responded in an instant and said, “Family.”
“Describe CSK in one word” was the question that was asked by R Ashwin. “Family” was Jadeja’s response.
Ashwin then asked if he had thought about this question already to which Jadeja said, “No, there is just not much needed to be said about CSK, I have been there for 12 years.”
Ravindra Jadeja joined CSK during the 2012 IPL season. Though he was with Gujarat Lions for 2016 and 17 season, he was taken back in the Yellow army for the 2018 season and has been with them since them.
Ravindra Jadeja is the fifth-highest run-scorer in IPL as he has scored 2198 runs. He is also the leading wicket-taker for CSK, with 143 success to his name. Jadeja was even appointed as the captain of the team in the 2022 season, but was then removed from the position as well as the team only managed 2 wins in 8 marches.
