Star batter Virat Kohli got injured during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on March 3. After this, fans did not take time to make speculations. There were even questions riding on whether Kohli would be able to play for RCB or not. However, RCB’s head coach Andy Flowers has given an update on this issue.
Virat Kohli was hit on his finger as he was trying to stop a boundary on the fifth ball of the 12th over. He was fielding at the deep-midwicket, where he could not stop a shot from Sai Sudarshan. As soon as the ball went over the boundary line, Kohli was down on the ground.
The team physio rushed in to examine Kohli, who stood up quickly and continued with the fielding. After the match, head coach Andy Flower shared an update on Kohli’s fitness, stating that he is fine.
“Virat is looking fine. He is fine,” said Andy. After this statement, fans might have taken a sigh of relief. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who have won two of their three matches, have their next match against Mumbai Indians.
