Virat Kohli: “We will bowl first. It feels amazing, no brainer about chasing, back to what we do best. We will play our hearts out for the fans, they are probably the most amazing lot in the IPL, we want to win it for them. CdG replaces Stoinis who has gone home, Sundar replaces Negi and Hetmyer gets a game, instead of Klaasen.

Kane Williamson: “We would have been bowling as well. Both of us haven’t won too many tosses, but now we need to bat well and put the runs on the board. Need to make small adjustments and hopefully we will put in a strong performances. One change for us, Yusuf Pathan replaces Abhishek Sharma.”

7.36 pm: Here are the playing XIs:

RCB make plenty of changes, while SRH make just the one change — Yusuf Pathan replaces Abhishek Sharma

RCB XI: Parthiv Patel(w), Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Colin de Grandhomme, Pawan Negi, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Yuzvendra Chahal

SRH XI: Wriddhiman Saha(w), Martin Guptill, Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson(c), Vijay Shankar, Yusuf Pathan, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, K Khaleel Ahmed, Basil Thampi

7.30 pm: TOSS: Virat Kohli has won the toss, RCB opt to bowl

7.22 pm: Both teams have arrived at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. TOSS in a few minutes from now.

7.11 pm: It’s getting really tight for one team to seal the final spot of the playoffs. It’s as simple as this. If Sunrisers Hyderabad win this one, then they have sealed the last place, else it’s all to play for when Kolkata Knight Riders face Mumbai Indians.

The wounds of going down to Mumbai Indians in a thrilling Super Over encounter will be still fresh, but Sunrisers Hyderabad need to make a quick turnaround and take full advantage of an already knocked out Royal Challengers Bangalore when both teams square off in match 54 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Despite their defeat against Mumbai on Thursday night, SRH’s net run-rate is +0.653, which is much superior as compared to others in contention for the playoffs. A win against RCB, who are playing for pride after their hopes of entering playoffs went up in smoke following a washed out tie against Rajasthan Royals, will certainly seal Sunrisers Hyderabad’s playoffs berth.

Even if the Orange Army lose their last match, they can still qualify for the playoffs provided Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab don’t win more than one of their last two matches.
