The Twenty20 Big Bash League (BBL) on Monday announced the finalists for the Player of the Tournament award. The shortlisted players represent each of the four BBL semifinalists, as well as Ricky Ponting from the Hobart Hurricanes.
The following are the finalists: Aaron Finch (Melbourne Renegades), Chris Lynn (Brisbane Heat), Lasith Malinga (Melbourne Stars), Shaun Marsh (Perth Scorchers), Luke Pomersbach (Brisbane Heat), Ricky Ponting (Hobart Hurricanes).
The Player of the Tournament will be awarded to the player who received the most votes from umpires at the end of the 32-match regular season. After each match, both umpires cast individual 3-2-1 votes.

The announcement will be made on Thursday after the semifinals.
