Rohit Sharma completes 150 ODIs during India vs New Zealand clash at Delhi

India‘s star opener in One-Day Internationals (ODIs), Rohit Sharma, becomes the 19th player for his nation to play 150th game in the format during the second ODI against New Zealand in the ongoing five-ODI series. He achieves this feat after former Team Director, Ravi Shastri in a list which includes greats like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble and Virat Kohli. Winning the first match comprehensively, India will like to make further inroads into the opposition’s camp whereas the Kiwis will like to level the series before it gets too late for them. Rohit made his ODI debut against Ireland in 2007 while also played his first game in Twenty20 (T20Is). He began his career as a middle-order batsman but was made an opener in early 2013. He had a successful stint as an opener especially in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 with two scores of fifties and vital starts. He continued to soar at the top-order with two double centuries and his the only player with this feat. His first double hundred came against Australia while he reached to his second in the next year against Sri Lanka.
