Rohit Sharma gives Fitness testament ahead of Champions Trophy 2025 clash against New Zealand

The Indian team is all set to face New Zealand in the final Group A match of the Champions Trophy 2025 on March 2 in Dubai. The Men in Blue have already secured their place in the semifinal of the tournament. Now, there are speculations that captain Rohit Sharma might not be in the clash against New Zealand, as he is having some complain with his hamstring.

Rohit Sharma put too the speculations of injury to an end as he came to bat in the nets two days ahead of the match. Harshit Rana and Hardik Pandya bowled a lot of balls to him.

In the press conference before the clash against New Zealand, KL Rahul has cleared out any fitness concerns in the Indian squad. However, he revealed that there is an incentive to try the players on the bench before the semifinal, which will probably not happen.

“Fitness-wise, there are no concerns about anyone missing a game as far as I know,” Rahul said.

There are temptations to try different players before the semis, but I am not sure that will be the case. There is little time before the semi-finals, so you would want players to get maximum game time,” he added.

If for some reason Rohit Sharma does not play against New Zealand, vice-captain Shubman Gill will lead the team. He has
