Indian team began their Champions Trophy 2025 campaign with a massive six-wicket win over Bangladesh. Skipper Rohit Sharma created history as he achieved a massive feat with India chasing the target of 229. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten century from the batting side, along with Mohammed Shami who took a five-wicket haul from the bowling attack.
Rohit Sharma created history, and became the fastest Indian captain to register 100 wins. The Indian team has won 100 times in 138 matches, which is a new record. This record was previously held by former Indian captain Virat Kohli, who had led the Men in Blue to 100 victories in 152 matches.
Rohit Sharma has been a better captain in bringing out the better of the players, and has a better lead over Virat in the list. Rohit took over the captaincy over Kohli after the 2021 World Cup.
