India announced the team for the practice match against the touring Sri Lanka scheduled to be held late in October. The team will be captained by Manoj Tiwary, while Rohit Sharma will make a comeback after the injury he picked up in England.

Kuldeep Yadav, who was a part of the ODI squad against West Indies but did not get a game, will get the chance to prove himself this time around. Manish Pandey, who was selected for the one-off T20 squad which was called off, also gets the chance to feature.
