Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Final of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 at Bengaluru on Sunday. RCB won Qualifier 1 to enter the final, while SRH had to beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Eliminator and Gujarat Lions (GL) in Qualifier 2 to make the cut. As a result SRH will have played 17 matches by the time they take field against RCB in the IPL 9 Final. It is still unlikely that Warner will be able to go past Kohli on the list of leading run-scorers of the tournament, with Kohli 81 runs away from making 1,000 runs in the tournament. Warner is 140 runs short of Kohli. Full Cricket Scorecard: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2016 Final at Bengaluru
There is a much tighter battle when it comes to the Purple Cap. Bhuvneshwar Kumar leads the table with 23 wickets, while Shane Watson and Yuzvendra Chahal come next with 20 wickets each. It is possible for any one of these three players to win the Purple Cap. There is also a mathematical chance for Mustafizur Rahman (16 wickets) to get the Purple Cap as well, but he would need to take at least 8 wickets in order to do so, while Bhuvneshwar would have to go wicketless and Watson and Chahal would have to take no more than 3 wickets apiece. It is therefore safe to imagine that Mustafizur, for all his brilliance, will not end as the holder of the Purple Cap.
