Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) begins their campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, when they take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This is the fourth match of the tournament and it will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Tuesday night. While Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be captained by Virat Kohli, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be led by the Australian David Warner. While both the teams will be looking to get off to a winning start in IPL 2016, it will be a challenge for them to bring the entertaining factor back in the tournament. The first three games of the IPL 2016 tournament have been a total drab, with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gujarat Lions (GL) and Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) making winning start to their campaign. However, coming off the Asia Cup 2016 tournament and the T20 World Cup 2016, the IPL 9 has so far failed to garner eyeballs.
RCB will be bolstered with the presence of star Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, who was available for grabs after Rajasthan Royals (RR) were banned from the IPL for the next two editions. Watson was the costliest buy in the IPL 2016 auction, with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) paying as high as Rs 9.5 crores for the Australian cricketer.
However, the team under Kohli will be missing their star bowler, another Australian, Mitchell Starc. The left-arm pacer has been on a long injury lay-off and he will be seen in action only in Australia’s tour of West Indies later this year.
