A clinical performance from Rajasthan Royals barring their fielding mishaps as they register their fifth win of the ongoing IPL 2019 to keep their playoff hopes floating. Their win also means that Chennai Super Kings are the first team this season to confirm playoff berth.
Overs 19.1: Sanju Samson smashes the first delivery from Shakib Al Hasan to midwicket region to seal the victory with a four. Rajasthan Royals (161/3) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (160/8) by seven wickets for their fifth win of the season.
Overs 19: Siddarth Kaul completes his quota allowing five runs in his final over. RR 157/3, need four runs off the final over.
Overs 18: Claps and smiles from everywhere as Ashton Turner finally scores his first run in IPL. He has been dismissed for three straight first-ball ducks in debut season. Four runs from the over. RR 152/3
Overs 16.6: OUT! Steve Smith goes for the big shot but is cramped for room by Khaleel Ahmed. The result is a one-handed pull which lands into the grasp of Siddarth Kaul who had almost made a mess of it. 11 runs and a wicket. RR 148/3
Overs 16: Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back into the attack. Does well to restrict RR to five runs in it. RR 137/2, need 24 off 24 now.
Overs 15: Rajasthan Royals are steadily inching towards the target. Khaleel, who had gone for just 10 off his first two overs, has been taken for 12 in his third. Steve Smith struck his second four in it. RR 132/2
Overs 14: Rashid Khan finishes off his spell allowing just six runs in his final overs. RR 120/2
Overs 13: Siddarth Kaul continued to be expensive as Sanju Samson creams two four off his first two deliveries. 14 from the over push RR to 114/2 – they now need 47 runs off 42 deliveries now.
Overs 11.3: OUT! Shakib Al Hasan strikes as Ajinkya Rahane is caught at long-off. He scored 39 off 34 with four fours and a six. RR have lost both their openers now. RR 93/2
Overs 11: Siddarth Kaul returns but deliveries a wide. Sanju Samson times it to perfection for his first six of the night. Kaul follows with a wide but then does well to keep RR to two more runs in the over. 10 from it. RR 89/1
Overs 10: Excellent from Rashid as his third over results in just one run and a wicket as well. RR 79/1
Overs 9.1: OUT! And Rashid Khan makes the breakthrough. A leg-break and Liam Livingstone gets an inside edge to be out caught behind. He scored 44 off 26 with four fours and three sixes. RR 78/1
Overs 9: Kane Williamson is shuffling through his bowlers every over. Now he brings back pace in Khaleel Ahmed who does well to allow just four runs in his second over. RR 78/0
Overs 8: Shakib also returns into the attack. Livingstone is in full flow as muscles on to long-on for his fourth four of the innings. 7 runs from the over. RR 74/0
Overs 7: Rashid Khan is back. SRH reviewed a not out lbw decision but burned it as the ball was missing the off stump. Livingstone survived and celebrated it with a four off the following delivery. 7 runs from the over. RR 67/0
Overs 6: Liam Livingstone has taken Siddarth Kaul to the cleaners in the final over of Powerplay. The Englishman belted two fours and smoked as many sixes to take 20 runs off his first over. RR 60/0, chasing 161
Overs 5: Left-arm pacer Khaleel into the attack now. He started off well, allowing two off his first five deliveries before Rahane managed to score a four to third man. RR 40/0
Overs 4: Rashid Khan introduced inside the Powerplay. And he has been smashed for a six each by Ajinkya Rahane and Liam Livingstone. 16 off his first over. RR 34/0
Overs 3: Bhuvneshwar continues and Rahane punishes him for missing length by cracking his second four. Bhuvi then sends one down leg and Rahane latches onto it, whipping away to deep square leg region for his third four. 10 runs from the over. RR 18/0
Overs 2: Spin introduced in Shakib Al Hasan. A tight start from the left-armer – four singles in it. RR 8/0
Over 1: A sumptous drive from Ajinkya Rahane as he opens his and team’s account with a boundary through extra cover. Just that boundary in an otherwise good first over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. RR 4/0
So we are back with Rajasthan Royals’ chase. Ajinkya Rahane and Liam Livingstone are the two openers. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has the new ball for Sunrisers Hyderabad
Overs 20: Sunrisers Hyderabad finish on a high – 18 runs off the final over from Varun Aaron. He started well conceding just a single before wicketkeeper Sanju Samson let slip one for four byes. Aaron then had to thank Unadkat from another exceptional catch that got rid of Bhuvneshwar on 1. However Rashid Khan belted a four and six off successive deliveries to take the final tally to 160/8
Overs 19: Unadkat finishes his spell allowing five runs in his fourth over. His spell tonight: 4-0-26-2
Overs 18.1: OUT! After the solid partnership between Pandey and Warner, Sunrisers have completely lost their way. Shakib Al Hasan caught by Shreyas Gopal off Jaydev Unadkat on 9. SRH 137/7
Overs 17.5: OUT! Wriddhiman Saha looked uncomfortable throughout. He pulled (sort of) a short delivery from Oshane Thomas to fine leg but Shreyas Gopal failed to hold onto the catch. However, Saha failed to capitalise on the life as he holed out to Sanju Samson off the very next delivery on 5. SRH 137/6
Overs 17: Rajasthan Royals have taken control with yet another tight over. Unadkat’s third over results in just five runs and a wicket. SRH 131/5
Overs 16.2: OUT! After Varun Aaron drops a decent chance at short-third man, Jaydev Unadkat takes matters in his own hands. He slips in a slower one to catch Deepak Hooda off guard as he checked his shot. The ball flies over Unadkat but he times is leap to perfection and grabs the ball with one-hand. Hooda walks back for a first-ball duck. SRH 127/5
Overs 15.5: OUT! Varun Aaron is finally rewarded for some good bowling. Vijay Shankar takes the aerial route and Jaydev Unadkat does well to charge forward and complete a good running catch. He scored 8. SRH 125/4
Overs 14.6: OUT! Third umpire summoned. Manish Pandey given out stumped. He actually had edged the ball before it nestled into the gloves of wicketkeeeper Sanju Samson. But the scorecard will show Pandey was stumped off Shreyas Gopal. He scored 61 off 36 with nine fours. SRH 121/3
Overs 14: Riyan Parag rejoins the attack. Six singles in his third over. SRH 113/2. Last two overs have yielded just 10 runs
Overs 13: End of a successful over from Oshane Thomas – a wicket and just four runs in it. SRH 107/2
Overs 12.1: Oh what catch from Steve Smith! A short delivery from Oshane Thomas and Warner was looking to slap this away but doesn’t connect well with Smith running and diving to complete an excellent catch. Warner departs on 37. SRH 103/2
Overs 11.5: FIFTY for Manish Pandey – his second of the season. Promotion is working well for Pandey who hits a second-straight half-century. Took 27 deliveries and struck eight fours to the landmark.
Overs 11: Pace returns in Jaydev Unadkat. Two doubles and three singles in it. SRH 93/1
Overs 10: Gopal continues and seven runs from his third over take SRH to 86/1 at the halfway stage.
Overs 9: Riyan Parag continues. Manish Pandey hands him a similar punishment as to Gopal earlier – consecutive boundaries. The first thumped over the bowler’s head and the second via a pull that also brought up his fifty-run partnership with David Warner. He moves to 39 off 19. SRH 79/1
Overs 8: Shreyas Gopal returns. Manish Pandey creams two successive boundaries off the leggie. The first a cut through point and the next via a pull to deep mid-wicket region. 10 runs from the over. SRH 67/1
Overs 7: 17-year-old Riyan Parag introduced into the attack. A good start from the leggie – six singles off it. SRH 57/1. Time for the first strategic timeout.
Overs 6: Oshane Thomas returns for the final over of Powerplay. SRH take 10 off his second over including a boundary from Manish Pandey – his third of the innings. Pandey moves to 16 off 7. That four also brought up SRH’s fifty. SRH 51/1
Overs 5: Double bowling change from RR – Jaydev Unadkat replaces Oshane Thomas. Manish Pandey, who started off with a first-ball four, scores his second via a pull that flew over mid-wicket region. 9 runs from the over. SRH 41/1
Overs 3.5: OUT! Shryeas Gopal spins magic to add another big scalp to his kitty. After bamboozling Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers early in the season, he gets the better of Kane Williamson who misreads a wrong’un to be clean bowled for 13. SRH 28/1. Gopal strikes in his first over.
Overs 3: Another good over for SRH as they are off to a solid start in Jaipur. Aaron pitches one outside off and Williamson drives it past point region for his second four. 8 runs from the over. SRH 27/0
Overs 2: Oshane Thomas joins Aaron from the other end. Aaron was unhappy with a fielding effort in his over that resulted in an overthrow. He certainly won’t be happy with his own effort near the boundary after allowing the ball to slip through his leg. 10 runs from the over. SRH 19/0
Over 1: So nine runs from the first over. Seems like an expensive start but it’s not. In fact, Aaron has been good. His first delivery caught Warner confused as he played it to point region for a single but an overthrow resulted in five runs. He kept troubling them with pace. Warner managed to take a triple off the final delivery. SRH 9/0
So here we go. Varun Aaron with the new ball. David Warner and Kane Williamson to open the innings.

PREVIEW
Sunrisers are coming off a six-wicket loss against the Chennai Super Kings and would want to return to winning ways. The Royals however would be high on confidence considering their three-wicket win against the Kolkata Knight Riders in their own backyard.
Placed fourth on the points table with five wins, the Sunrisers need to win at least two more games out of their remaining four matches to progress into the Playoffs, while for the Royals, they are hanging by a thread.
Match 45 pits RR against SRH in IPl 2019. This is the final home game for RR and they will want to finish of the home leg with a win and keep their playoff chances alive. For SRH, without Jonny Baristow there is a big selection headache and a win is what they also need to keep their chances of making it to the playoffs alive.
RR are currently placed at the seventh spot with eight points from 11 games and would be looking to take confidence from their three-wicket win at the Eden Gardens in their last encounter.
On the other hand, SRH, placed at the fourth spot with five wins from 10 games, would want to leave behind the six-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings and return to winning ways.
