THE DISPUTES inside the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made issues previously and keeps on hampering the national players. According to Cricket Pakistan, many top-grade Pakistan cricketers have expressed their problem with PCB’s upcoming central contract deals.

The Babar Azam-led Pakistan team is currently competing against Sri Lanka in the two-match Test series despite having their central contracts expire on June 30th last month. Both players and the board are yet to come on the same page over the upcoming contract deals.

The players have demanded family and health insurance coverage, education policy, disclosure of sponsors, share from ICC-event revenues, and most importantly transparency over NOC for franchise cricket leagues apart from the hikes in the salaries.

Pakistan Players To Meet Board After Sri Lanka Tour

The players are expected to have a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board authorities following their arrival from Sri Lanka after the conclusion of the ongoing tour.

The report further added that Pakistan cricketers are paid way less in comparison to the other players. Babar Azam, who is currently the number 1 ODI batter as per the ICC rankings, doesn’t even rank in the top 10 most salaried cricketers.

PCB has previously demanded upto USD 25,000 from all player as a participation fee in the franchise leagues like MLC and Global T20, which was questioned by the players only making around USD 5,000.
