Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly set to hold advisory roles with Team India

Dravid could be Talent Development Manager, while Tendulkar could be asked to work at the National Cricket Academy.

Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sourav Ganguly are reportedly set to return to Team India, albiet in roles of advisors. As per reports, Ganguly would perform the role of High Performance Manager, a role similar to one seen in Cricket Australia. Dravid could be Talent Development Manager, while Tendulkar could be asked to work at the National Cricket Academy.

According to a report published by NDTV, Ganguly’s role would be to help Team India improve their overseas perfromances, while Dravid would have to work closely with Under-19 teams and identify upcoming talent. Meanwhile, Tendulkar would be expected to help out-of-favour cricketers to iron out flaws in technique and work toward making a comeback.

According to reports, Ganguly has agreed, while Tendulkar has expressed interest but wants further details. On the other hand, Dravid has said that he will wait till the end of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 and wants further details. Dravid had told NDTV, “I have read it in the newspapers. If it comes to fruition, I will cross the bridge then.”
