Sachin Tendulkar slams unbeaten half-century to take Mumbai close to win against Haryana

Sachin Tendulkar on Monday slammed unbeaten half-century to take Mumbai closer to victory over Haryana in their Ranji Trophy 2013-14 opening match at the Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a target of 240 runs, Mumbai were 190 for five when the Little Master reached the half-century mark.

Tendulkar hit four boundaries while facing 105 balls for his unbeaten 50, after a disappointing show in the first essay when he was cleaned up by Haryana pacer Mohit Sharma for five.

This is the 19th half-century which Sachin has scored in Ranji Trophy, and his 115th overall in First-Class cricket.

Defending champions Mumbai need a futher 50 runs to win.
