On October 13, 2013, Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from international cricket. A year down the line, he took two Twitter to thank the fans for all the support he received during that phase. Tendulkar made the announcement in the lead-up to the two-match Test series against West Indies. At the time, he was on 198 Tests and then went on to play his historic 200th at his homeground, the Wankhede Stadium, in Mumbai in November 2013.
