Sachin Tendulkar to campaign for Congress in Madhya Pradesh ahead of state election: Report

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has agreed to campaign for Congress in Madhya Pradesh.

According to a Zee News report, Congress wants to use Tendulkar’s appeal to target the youth which constitutes more than one crore votes for the upcoming state elections.

Pramod Gugalia, state Congree leader, has confirmed the news.

This comes at the back of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s promise that he would convince Tendulkar to campaign for Congrees in Madhya Pradesh.

Last year, Tendulkar had taken his first political plunge by becoming a member of the Rajya Sabha.

Tendulkar is all set to play his 200th and final Test match of his career in November against the West Indies while the state, expected to go on polls in November 25.
