Rajya Sabha member and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar arrived at the Krishnapatnam port near Nellore on Saturday evening, on his way to a village which he has decided to adopt. Tendulkar was accorded a warm welcome by the port officials. He also received a guard of honour by the probationers at the Krishnapatnam Port Security Academy.

Sporting a pink T-shirt and blue jeans, the cricketing icon planted a tree. A huge number of port employees and their children turned up to catch a glimpse of the ‘Little Master’. After the night-halt at the port, Tendulkar will proceed to Puttamraju Kandrika, a sleepy village near here, and participate in various programmes Sunday.
