Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni‘s wife Sakshi Dhoni has sought an arms licence from the Ranchi District Administration. According to official sources, Sakshi applied for a revolver on the ground that she lives most of the time alone in Ranchi, with her daughter Ziva. She has expressed a threat to her security. “I have to move alone for work and I feel a security threat,” an official quoted her application as saying. Dhoni already has an arms licence in his name.

Dhoni shifted to his farmhouse at Daladali of Ranchi last year. He used to stay at the Harmu Housing Colony before that. Dhoni quit Test cricket in 2014-15 and relinquished limited-overs captaincy in 2016-17, but continues to play both ODIs and T20Is for India. Recently he led Chennai Super Kings to their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title.
