Ending a 44-day stalemate, Rajasthan Cricket Association Secretary Sanjay Dixit let the rival faction, led by C P Joshi, start administartive work from the office, which was locked since July 30.

The bitter fight between Joshi and Dixit had resulted in both factions putting their locks on the RCA office.

Dixit had announced that he was taking a backseat and was leaving day-to-day affairs for Joshi faction.

Despite the court cases still pending, Dixit handed over the keys to administration and acting secretary K K Sharma and treasurer, Mahendra Sharma, got the locks opened in presence of police.

“We have taken possession of the office in presence of police and this would pave way for concentrating on cricket. We have to host the prestigious Irani Trophy from October 1 and also have to redeem our prestige as the current Ranji trophy champions,” Sharma said.

“The camp for the probables is in full swing and former Indian opener Akash Chopra has reported today boosting the morale of the players. The other two professionals who contributed a great deal in Rajasthan’s success previous season- Rashmi Ranjan Parida and Hrishikesh Kanetkar are still playing in BCCI corporate trophy,” he said.
