Former Pakistan off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will return as the spin bowling coach of the Bangladesh team for the home series against New Zealand in October.

Saqlain was the spin bowling coach earlier during the tour to Zimbabwe and will rejoin with the team to complete his 100-day contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

“I look forward to joining the Bangladesh camp by the end of September. If not, by October 1 is a must,” said Saqlain to the Dhaka Tribune.

Before that Saqlain will conduct a three-week spin bowling camp in Barbados for current and emerging spinners from the Caribbean. The camp is scheduled to begin from September 3.

Saqlain played 169 One-Day Internationals for Pakistan and took 288 wickets. He played 49 Tests and took 208 wickets.
