Karachi: Expressing doubt over the selection of all-rounder Shahid Afridi in the squad for the 2016 Twenty20 World Cup, former Test cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz has said that it would be tough for the former to find a place if he is not appointed as the skipper. Afridi scored just four runs in the recently held two-match T20 series against Zimbabwe. Reacting on his recent performance, Sarfraz said that Afridi could not be trusted after his dismal show against Zimbabwe, the Express Tribune reported. Sarfraz further said that the PCB should stop looking for Afridi to perform well as there are many other players who deserve a chance in the squad. Meanwhile, reacting on the stalled India- Pakistan series, the veteran insisted that Pakistan should move on as there are many other teams who want to play against them. Meanwhile, Afridi has moved from Karachi to Lahore to begin his preparations to regain form and confidence before the World Twenty20 in India next year. The national T20 captain will be based in Lahore with his family until the World T20 in a bid to focus completely on cricket. Afridi has lived in Karachi since childhood and has played all his cricket from Karachi with his family business also based in the city. “I just thought this is the time to simply focus on regaining my best form and preparing the team well for the World T20,” he told reporters at a function in a school before he departed later in the day for Lahore. “In Lahore I can train properly at the National Cricket Academy and focus completely on cricket without any distractions,” he said to PTIShahid Afridi worried about his batting form ahead of ICC World T20 2016
