The Prithvi Shaw-led India team defeated Australia by eight wickets and won the World Cup for a record fourth time. India restricted Australia for 216 and achieved the winning target in 38.5 overs by losing just two wickets. Manjot Kalra hit a splendid ton, while Harvik Desai, who represents Saurashtra in the domestic cricket, remained unbeaten on 47 in the summit clash at Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. <p></p> <p></p>"Congratulations on winning the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2018. It was a remarkable, superlative performance," the SCA said in a media release here. "The SCA feels very proud of Team India. It's a moment of celebration....a moment of glory", the release added. <p></p> <p></p>The association also praised the Gujarat lad Desai. "Harvik proved to be a super reliable wicketkeeper-batsman." <p></p> <p></p>The SCA also praised the team coach Rahul Dravid. The former India captain remained a source of inspiration for the team through out the tournament, it said.
