ACP Mumbai Police Iqbal Sheikh revealed that Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan was drunk on Wednesday night when he was involved in a scuffle with the security personnel at Wankhede stadium and abused some officials from Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
Sheikh mentioned that when he reached the spot a scuffle was on and the actor appeared drunk. “Shah Rukh smelled of alcohol,” Sheikh was quoted by the official website of Zee news.
Sheikh also informed that MCA secretary Nitin Dalal has lodged a complaint against Khan and Morani brothers at the Marine Drive Police station.
According to the report, Khan was denied permission to enter the field after the match was over. A furious Khan then got into heated arguments with the security personnel. It is being alleged that the actor and his associates hurled abuses at those present there including a lady. The lady’s identity has not been revealed yet.
Though there were talks about Khan being banned from entering Wankhede stadium henceforth but MCA President Vilasrao Deshmukh clarified that the ban has not been imposed yet on the actor.
Deshmukh stated that the Police was looking into the matter and a decision would be taken after questioning the concerned people.
