Shakib Al Hasan overtook Mashrafe Mortaza to become the second-highest wicket-taker of all time for Bangladesh in One-Day Internationals (ODI). The all-rounder achieved the feat when he took his fourth wicket to dismiss Luke Ronchi during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Pool A match between Bangladesh and New Zealand at the Seddon Park in Hamilton on Friday. Shakib, who assumed the role of the captain in the absence of Mortaza in Bangladesh’s final league encounter of the ongoing tournament, now has 189 wickets from 146 matches, at an average and economy of 28.15 and 4.29 respectively.
