Shane Warne’s plaster of the arm, which was broken by his former Australian teammate Brett Lee during the Bicentenary match on July five, has been put of display at the Lord’s museum. Warne, who captained the Rest of the World side, was hit by Lee and later on did not come to bowl or field. Rest of the World lost the match to Sachin Tendulkar-led Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
Adam Gilchrist took charge of the proceedings in the match. In his place, Shaun Pollock played despite the fact that the whole contest was built up around the Tendulkar-Warne contest. Warne was quoted by MiD-Day that the plaster was donated to the Lord’s museum after the authorities requested him to donate. The leg-spinner played 145 Tests and 194 ODIs. He has scored 3,154 runs in Tests and 1,018 runs in ODIs. He has taken 708 Test wickets and 293 ODI wickets.
