Shane Watson has admitted that he is hungrier than ever to do well in his maiden appearance in the star-studded Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He is set to make his CPL debut with St Lucia Zouks. Watson was impressive with the ball for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the ninth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). Although he failed to lead them to a victory in the final, Watson is high on confidence, especially when the competition level is very high in CPL. The other five Australians who will be seen in action in CPL 2016 along with Watson are Mike Hussey, Brad Hodge, Alex Ross, Chris Lynn and Adam Zampa. According to cricket.com.au, Watson who picked 20 wickets during his first stint with RCB in IPL 2016, has suggested that the success was a result of making a slight change in his bowling technique. READ: Shane Watson provides spine to Royal Challenger Bangalore’s (RCB) hapless bowling

“I had made a few tweaks on the technical side of my bowling and mentally I was trusting my own instincts a bit more, which helped me achieve better consistency. I’ve had a better run of consistently better days than previously in my career. Even though one door has now closed on my career, I’m as hungry as ever to keep on learning, keep improving my own skills and hopefully keep on contributing to the team,” the recently turned 35-year-old said.
