Shane Watson departed for 103 after he smashed the England bowlers on the fourth morning of the third Ashes 2013-14 Test at Perth. Watson was severe on Graeme Swann in particular as Australia raced up to 333 for five. Watson was finally run-out by Tim Bresnan.

Watson should ideally have gone caught by Ian Bell. But the fielder dropped a  sitter and Bresnan was quick to pick it and run Watson out.

Watson started the day with a 14-run over smashing two boundaries and a six off Swann. Soon the right-handed batsman got to his half-century. Then came the big 22-run over off Swann. He first hit a boundary on the first ball of the over and followed it up with three huge sixes that came right of the middle of his bat.

Australia resumed the day on 235 for three and thanks to some big hits from the No 3 batsman, the hosts managed to pile on the lead in quick time.
