Shankar Mahadevan gave a heartfelt musical performance ahead of the IPL 2025 final between RCB and PBKS at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 3. The tribute was dedicated to the Indian armed forces in recognition of their remarkable efforts during Operation Sindhoor.
Operation Sindhoor was a significant military response carried out by the Indian Army following the Pahalgam terror attack. As a mark of respect and gratitude, a special dance performance was dedicated to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces. Salute to our heroes.
Shankar Mahadevan performed a soulful medley of songs celebrating the spirit and pride of India, accompanied by his sons, Siddharth and Shivam Mahadevan.
Before the musical performance began, a heartfelt video tribute was played to honour the Indian armed forces. Shankar Mahadevan opened with the powerful track ‘Bharat’ from Manikarnika, followed by the iconic Lakshya title song, which stirred the crowd. Fans stood up, waving the Indian flag with pride, creating a truly patriotic atmosphere.
Following that, Mahadevan performed the patriotic track Ae Watan from Raazi, setting a deeply emotional tone. Another stirring number from Lakshya, Kandon Se Milte Hain Kandhe, was next. The performance continued with the timeless Vande Mataram, sung by Mahadevan alongside his sons, Siddharth and Shivam. This was followed by the classic Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawanon Ka from Naya Daur.
