Shaun Pollock: Keen to know names of players involved in match-fixing scandal

South African great Shaun Pollock says he is keen to know the names of player involved in the match-fixing scandal which has rocked Cricket South Africa.

Johannesburg: Former South Africa skipper Shaun Pollock has admitted that he wants to see all of those involved in match-fixing to be exposed. Earlier, Cricket South Africa ( CSA) confirmed that former cricketer Gulam Bodi had been charged with `contriving to fix, or otherwise improperly influence aspects of the 2015 Ram Slam T20 Challenge Series`. Labelling the latest match-fixing development in the game as `shocking`, Pollock said that it was sad to see such kind of things tarnishing the image of the game. The 42-year-old, however, said that he was glad that his country managed to get their hands on the issue, insisting that they were working on rectifying the situation, Sport24 reported. Pollock further called on his country to try to eradicate the issue as much as they could for the betterment of the game. CSA who is already trying to clean up domestic cricket, were shocked to hear news of two Test players being implicated in the scandal came into light. Players who names can’t be revealed at the moment are not included in the ongoing Test against England are being investigated by CSA.

Earlier, former South Africa fast bowler Makhaya Ntini had lashed out at players involved in match-fixing, saying that they are not only hurting themselves, but also hurting their kids as well. The 38-year-old insisted that these match-fixers were destroying the future of their own children by being involved in such wrongdoings.
