INDIA skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been getting severe backlash for her behaviour during the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh women. Harmanpreet Kaur lost her cool when she was given out LBW and smashed the stumps with her bat while on her way back to the dressing room.
Kaur didn’t mince words during the post-match presentation and slammed the umpires, saying that the next time the team visit Bangladesh, they will prepare for them too.
Harmanpreet did not stop there and taunted Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana, saying that she does not deserve to be sharing the trophy with India as the umpires helped them tie the final game. Kaur also wanted Sultana to bring umpires for the shoot with the Bangladesh team, suggesting that they helped the hosts save the game.
Former India cricketer Madan Lal was upset with Harmanpreet Kaur’s act and termed her behaviour during the final match as pathetic, adding that she is not bigger than the game.
Harmanpreet’s behaviour against the Bangladesh women’s team was pathetic. She is not bigger than the game. She got a very bad name for Indian cricket. BCCI should take very strict disciplinary action.

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana was also miffed with Harmanpreet Kaur and blasted her for poor behaviour. Nigar said that Harmanpreet Kaur should have shown better manners.
“It is totally her (Harmanpreet’s) problem. I have nothing to do with it,” Nigar said in the press conference. “As a player, she could have shown better manners. I can’t tell you what happened, but it didn’t feel right to be there [for the photograph] with my team. It wasn’t the right environment. That’s why we went back. Cricket is a game of discipline and respect.”
