India’s opening batsman, Shikhar Dhawan scored his 13th half-century in ODIs against minnows, Ireland, in their Pool B, match 34 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Tuesday. His fifty came off 55 deliveries including eight boundaries and a six along with a strike-rate of 92.45. Currently, India are 121 for no loss in 17 overs, with openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan batting on 46 and 61, respectively.

Earlier, Irish skipper, William Porterfield won the toss and elected to bat first as Ireland were bowled out for 259, with Niall O’Brien being the highest scorer with 75 runs and Mohammed shami claiming three for 41.
