Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has announced a Rs two lakh cash award for Shubam Khajuria, the second cricketer from the state to be picked for the India Under-19 team.
“Union Minister and JKCA President Dr Farooq Abdullah announced a cash reward of Rs two lakh for Khajuria in recognition of his outstanding performance at the national level and his subsequent selection in the India under-19 team for the forthcoming tour of Sri Lanka,” JKCA spokesperson Ranjeet Kalra said.
Giving details, JKCA Treasurer Manzoor Wazir said, “The President who returned from Magnolia on Saturday has expressed a lot of happiness and satisfaction on Shubham’s achievement and has wished him good luck for the Indian U-19 team’s tour of Sri Lanka.”

“The President has also asked for the resumption of cricket activities in the state by JKCA for which a monthly calendar of activities shall soon be released by the State Cricket body,” he added.
