Skipper Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan gave a brilliant start to Gujarat Titans as they opened the innings after Lucknow Super Ginats won the toss and elected to field first. From the very first over the GT openers maintained a steady and aggresive approach, by rotating the strike and securing a massive feat for their team, as they recorded the 3rd highest opening partnership for GT.
Gill looked in a outstanding form as he bought up his half-century in 31 deliveries, with the help of his elegant strokes and powerful shot. Meanwhile, his opening partner Sai Sudarshan played brilliantly at the other end, delivering a composed yet attacking innings.
By the end of the 10th over, Gujarat Titans had already crossed the 100-run mark, putting an immense pressure on the opposition. Shortly after, Sudarshan also recahed is Half-Century off 32 deliveries, bringing a solid opening partnership for Gujarat Titans. This marked the third highest pertnership by an opening pair for lucknow super giants in ipl history

Gill looked set for a big one but he got dismissed after scoring an impressive 60 of 38 deliveries. Whereas, Sudarshan was dismissed soon after scoring a 56 runs off 32 deliveries. Gill and Sudarshan’s partnership gave GT a strong start, putting immense pressure on LSG early in the innings.
Despite, a strong start, GT could manage to reach 180 in their 20 overs. After the openers were dismissed, wickets started falling at regular intervals, slowing down the momentum, as the middle order failed to capitalise on the good start.
