Gujarat Titans confirmed their playoff spot in IPL 2025, thanks to an impressive knock of 108 from Sai Sudharsan, while skipper Shubman Gill also contributed a brilliant 93, helping GT secure a convincing 10-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals.
IPL action resumed with two full matches played, marking the tournament’s return after last Saturday’s scheduled restart was washed out. The T20 league had been paused the previous week due to a deadly conflict between India and Pakistan, but resumed following the announcement of a ceasefire.
GT’s victory over DC also ensured the qualification of other franchises like Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings, as they had won their previous match against Rajasthan Royals.
Gill and Sudarshan became the first Indian player to score the most runs in an IPL season as they scored 800 runs so far.
Gujarat Titans, who won the IPL trophy in their debut season in 2022, have returned to the top of the table. They will play their remaining two league-stage matches against Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.

The massive partnership between Gill and Sudarshan overpowered KL Rahul’s unbeaten 112, which helped the team to post a total of 199/3. Sudharsan started aggressively, reaching 25 in just just nine deliveries and bringing up his half-century with a boundary. Gill soon shifted gears, targeting Sri Lanka’s Dushmantha Chameera for 19 runs in the 13th over. Sudharsan also accelerated, reaching his century before sealing the win with a six.
