India captain Rohit Sharma jumped two places to third in the latest ICC ODI batter rankings following his stellar performance in the Champions Trophy final, while teammate Shubman Gill held on to the top spot.

Rohit played a fantastic knock of 76 runs from just 83 deliveries in the final against New Zealand to help the Men in Blue beat the Black Caps in the final of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy on Sunday.

New Zealand trio of Daryl Mitchell (up one place to sixth), Rachin Ravindra (up 14 spots to 14th) and Glenn Phillips (up six rungs to 24th) also made significant gains.

On the other hand, India star batter Virat Kohli dropped down a position at fifth in the rankings following disappointing displays in the semi-final and final of the recently-concluded ICC event.

Coming to the bowlers, Kiwi skipper Mitchell Santner climbed 6 spots to second place only behind Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana in the bowler rankings. This comes after the left-arm spinner picked up 9 wickets in the recently-concluded ICC event.

Elsewhere, Indian spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja rose 3 spots each in the top 10 following great bowling performances in the Champions Trophy. The former reached the third place while the latter finished at the tenth place.
