Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly on Saturday said that the comments made by his former Indian teammateVirenderSehwag about his lack of setting in the BCCI, lead to him being scrapped of a chance to become the Team India head coach. Sehwag had also said that he was mislead by a section in the BCCI, which robbed him of the head coach’s spot. Nevertheless, Ganguly decided not to speak on the issue further owing to his good relation with Sehwag. Ganguly was a part of the CoA (Committee of Administrators) that chose Ravi Shastri as India s head coach.

I have got nothing to say. Sehwag spoke foolishly [bokar moton boleche], said Ganguly to PTI. Speaking on the upcoming second ODI against Australia, Ganguly expressed his concerns regarding the weather as it is being predicted that rain could play a spoilsport. Speaking on the sale of tickets so far, he said, All complimentary tickets of 25,000 is gone. We have also sold about 15,000 tickets out of the available 30,000. We still have five days left.

Sehwag has stuck to the no holds barred policy when it comes to speaking or commentary. Though he has earned fans, he has also irked many for his verbal diarrhoea. Sourav Ganguly wants Tests to flourish in India with help of pink-ball

Dekhiye main coach isliyenahi ban paayakyonkijobhi coach chunrahe the unsemera koi setting nahintha. [Look I couldn’t become the India coach because I didn t have any setting (common slang for hobnobbing with decision-makers) with those who were in power of appointing the coach]. I never thought of coaching the Indian cricket team. I was given an offer to coach the team. The BCCI [acting] secretary Amitabh Chaudhary and GM [Game Development] MV Sridhar came to me and requested me to think about the offer. I took my time and then applied for the position, Sehwag was reported as saying during a talk show on IndiaTV.

Sehwag s comments truly make little sense as he has excellent relations with his former captain Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and also VVS Laxman. All three stalwarts were a part of the CoA that picked India s head coach.
