The Indian Super League (ISL) match between Atletico de Kolkata and Delhi Dynamos had a surprise visitor in Justice (Retired) Mukul Mudgal, who enjoyed the proceedings with former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday.

Mudgal sat a row behind Ganguly in the team owner’s box.

According to sources, Mudgal came to watch the match as Ganguly’s guest. Ganguly is the co-owner of Atletico de Kolkata and both of them share a good rapport, having worked together in the Supreme Court-appointed commission which probed the allegations of spot fixing and betting scandal that rocked the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Justice Mudgal is a sports buff and is known to take keen interests in multiple sporting disciplines. The Mudgal Committee has submitted its report to the Supreme Court on November 3 and the hearing of the case is still on.
