Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, after a lot of ifs-and-buts, will now be seen campaigning for Jagmohan Dalmiya‘s daughter Vaishali Dalmiya. Ganguly, who was known to be apolitical so far, will for the first time do something like this for family-friend Dalmiyas. Vaishali is the Trina Mool Congress (TMC) candidate contending from Bali, Howrah and Ganguly, taking out time from her busy schedule, will visit the polling campaign and lend his support to her. Apart from Ganguly, the cricketers of Bengal Ranji Team and stars from the Bengali film industry are expected to turn up for the event scheduled for Sunday. Ganguly, as reported by kolkata24x7.com, will take part in an exhibition match. The venue of the match, however, has yet not been disclosed from TMC’s side. Ganguly is currently the president of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and has been busy with administrative work. His plan of work and the execution of it was highly praised during the rescheduled India vs Pakistan match of ICC World T20 2016 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata as the match looked nearly impossible to take place due to rain and despite an average drainage system that the venue has, Ganguly made sure the pitch did not suffer.
