Hashim Amla scored a quick 47 not out to help South Africa set a 78–run target against England in their rain-truncated second Twenty20 International at Old Trafford in Manchester on Monday.

Heavy rains delayed the start of the second T20 tie between England and South Africa. The match was later reduced to nine-overs per-side.

After being asked to bat first, South Africa scored 77 for five from nine overs, with Amla top scoring with 47 not out.

Amla struck seven boundaries to remain unbeaten on 47, which came from 30 balls.

For England, Steven Finn was the most successful bowlers with the figures of two for 17 from his two overs.

England made one change in their side to bring in Luke Wright, who replaced Ravi Bopara.

On the other hand, South Africa made two changes in their side with Amla replacing Faf du Plessis and Morne Morkel coming in for Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

South Africa lead the three-match Twenty20 series 1-0.

Brief Scores: South Africa 77 for 5 from 9 overs (Hashim Amla 47*, Jacques Kallis 13*; Steven Finn 2 for 17) vs England.
