Ireland had a poor start to their chase of 412 against South Africa at Canberra as both of their openers and No. 3 Ed Joyce within the first five overs of their innings. Paul Stirling was the first man to get out. He scored nine of six ball and fell to Dale Steyn, who is playing his 100th One-Day International (ODI). Kyle Abott took the second wicket in the form of William Porterfield, who made 12 off 17 balls. Just after that Steyn struck again when he got the price wicket of Ed Joyce for no score. After six overs Ireland are tottering at 26 for three. Live Updates: South Africa vs Ireland
Earlier South Africa won the toss and decide to bat first on a wicket what looked like bit slow and dry. But twin centuries by Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis propelled the Protease to post the highest score of this tournament so far, 411 for five in their allotted 50 overs in the Pool B game against Ireland at Canberra. At one point of time 450 was looking very much on the cards, but somehow the Irish bowlers avoided that. This is South Africa’s back back to 400 plus scores and in this edition of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Live Scorecard: South Africa vs Ireland
