South Africa lost the wicket of opener Quinton de Kock early as Ireland had an excellent start of their Pool B game at the Manuka Oval at Canberra. In the third over of the innings, John Mooney struck for the Irish team. The ball was pushed across the batsman, the angle took it away from outside off, de Kock was pushing forward in defence but only managed an outside edge to the keeper. Umpire initially gave it not out, But the review cleared all the doubts and de Kock’s poor world cup with bat continued. Live Updates: South Africa vs Ireland

The Proteas retained the same side that trounced the West Indies by 257 runs in Sydney last Friday, with fast bowler Dale Steyn set to play his 100th one-day international. Ireland have dropped Alex Cusack and included an extra slow bowler in off-spinner Andrew McBrine on a dry pitch that promises lots of runs, AFP reported. Live Scorecard: South Africa vs Ireland
