South Africa started Day One of the second Test on a shaky note but reached 297 for 6 going into stumps against Sri Lanka. Opener Dean Elgar played a composed innings from his end and took his side to a healthy total but hosts will eye the 400-run mark when they take on the field on Day Two. The live cricket streaming of the South Africa versus Sri Lanka match will be available on tensports.com. Meanwhile, the live cricket telecast will be available on Ten 3 and Ten 1 HD. Also, the fans can enjoy the live streaming of the match on their mobile through Ozee.com and Ditto TV app.
Sri Lanka opted to bowl in overcast conditions on offer at Newlands, Cape Town. Their seamers were impressive in the opening session as they reduced hosts to 69 for 3. Suranga Lakmal and Lahiru Kumara struck early but Elgar stood tall from his end. He was ably supported by skipper, Faf du Plessis, as they added 76 runs for the fourth wicket. Du Plessis went for 38 but Elgar registered his 6th Test ton to lead Proteas’ charge. South African batsmen found scoring tough against an inspired Sri Lankan bowling attack, as there was ample seam and swing for the visiting side to make a very strong impression.

The day ended with some late success for the visitors in form of the wickets of Elgar and Temba Bavuma, but wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock’s aggressive knock of 68 not out took his side close to 300. He is batting along side Kyle Abbott (16 not out) and will be hopeful of adding valuable runs with the tail. Sri Lanka will be eyeing quick wickets to wrap up the tail and prevent the hosts from reaching anything above 350. Overall, a tight contest expected between bat and ball on Day Two.
