The iconic Sydney Cricket Ground will play host for the first time in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 as South Africa take on a rejuvenated West Indies. South Africa have their own issues to address. Vernon Philander is certain to miss the clash against West Indies where as the form of Quinton de Kock remains a concern. Wayne Parnell brings variety with his left-arm angle but is far too inconsistent. If he plays, West Indies, like India would like to target him. Imran Tahir could be South Africa’s trump card on the SCG pitch that has traditionally helped spinners.
