South Africa clinched a narrow three-run win over New Zealand in the final T20 to seal series win by 2-1 at the Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday.

Chasing 166 to win, New Zealand fell short by three runs scoring 162 for seven from their allotted 20 overs.

Jesse Ryder slammed a fine half-century on his return clobbering two sixes and five boundaries in his knock of 52, which came off 42 balls.

Johan Botha impressed with the ball taking two wickets and giving away only 20 runs in his spell of four overs.
