SRH vs MI: No Cheerleaders, Fireworks and Music- All players to wear Black arm-bands during the match

In order to pay respect to the people lost in the Pahalgam terror attack, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians players will be wearing black armbands. Additionally, there will be no music, cheerleaders, and fireworks during the entirety of the clash.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) players are going to wear black arm-bands during their Indian Premier League (IPL) clash. This match is also not going to have any cheerleaders, fireworks, and any music. This decision has been made in order to pay respect and mourn for the victims of the Pahalgam terror attach, where 26 people lost their lives.

Both the teams along with everyone present at the stadium have also had a minute’s silence to pay tribute to those families who had to face consequence of the attack, an incident that has been condemned internationally.

Players will be wearing Black Armbands:
A source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed Press Trust of India (PTI) that the players of both the teams will be playing while playing black armbands in memory of those people who lost their lives during the terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

26 people lost their lives in the attack:
26 people were killed and many others were severely injured on March 22 (Tuesday), as terrorists opened fire on people at this popular tourist location in Southern part of Kashmir. The responsibility for this terror attack has been taken by The Resistance Front (TRF), which is a part of Pakistan-based banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group.

BCCI condemned the attack:
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has also issued a statement, that has condemned this ‘horrific and cowardly’ attack. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated that the cricket community is in deep shock and sad by the tragic death of innocent people in the terrorist attack. He said that on the behalf of the BCCI, he strongly condemns this act and offers his condolences to the families and prayers for the lost ones.
