Sri Lanka completed a 2-0 clean sweep of the Sobers-Tissera Trophy Test series against West Indies after their 72-run victory in the second Test at the P Sara Stadium in Colombo on Monday. It was an all-spin show for the Sri Lankans, with spinners Rangana Herath and Milinda Siriwardana emerging the pick of the bowlers with figures of four and three wickets each for 56 and 25 runs respectively. West Indies were off to a promising start in their innings, thanks to the 60-run second wicket stand between Shai Hope (35 off 72 balls) and Darren Bravo (61 off 124 balls), but a slew of quick wickets on a track that was offering sharp bounce on the final day spelt the doom for the tourists. SCORECARD: Sri Lanka vs West Indies 2015, 2nd Test at Colombo (PSS), Day 5
Things started going south for the tourists following the dismissal of Shai Hope, who came down the track and attempted to launch Siriwardana, getting stumped in the process. Marlon Samuels and Jermaine Blackwood, who took five catches in the second Sri Lankan innings, were dismissed in quick succession to put the visitors on the backfoot at lunch, with the scorecard reading 112 for the loss of four wickets. Hope (not the batsman!) was still there with the visitors as Bravo was still standing firm on 55, with wicketkeeper batsman Denesh Ramdin accompanying him at the crease.
