Hamid Hassan was on fire as he removed Dimuth Karunaratne, who edged the delivery to Nawroz Mangal at the slips, to depart for a score of 23 off 32 balls during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Pool A fixture between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka at the University Oval in Dunedin on Sunday. It was Hassan’s second wicket of the innings, as the Sri Lankans lost their fourth wicket of the innings with just 51 runs on board after 12 overs, with the likeliness of Afghanistan’s maiden World Cup victory looking very likely. Hassan became the fastest bowler from an associate nation to 50 One-Day International (ODI) wickets. Live Scorecard: Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, Pool A match at Dunedin
